2025 Gladstone Careers Expo: A Record-Breaking Success

The 2025 Gladstone Careers Expo, held on Tuesday, 13 May at the Gladstone Entertainment and Convention Centre, was our biggest event yet – delivering meaningful impact for students, schools, and industry across Central Queensland.

📈 Record Attendance and Regional Reach

This year’s event attracted over 1,250 students from across the Gladstone Region and beyond, including delegations from Monto, Miriam Vale, Tannum Sands and the Discovery Coast. More than 60 exhibitors representing local, state, and national training providers, universities, employers, and support services took part, offering students the chance to explore real-world career and study pathways.

A number of exhibitors travelled from Townsville, Brisbane and Mackay, underscoring the growing reputation of the event as a key regional engagement opportunity.

“We’ve attended expos across the state, but this one stands out – the students were engaged, prepared, and genuinely interested.” – 2025 Exhibitor

“It was amazing to have so many career options in one place. I left with a lot more clarity about what I want to do after school.” – Year 11 Student

🤝 Connecting Community, Industry & Youth

Proudly coordinated by Communities of Gladstone Supporting Youth Inc (COGSY) and the Rotary Club of South Gladstone, the expo is designed to create meaningful, face-to-face connections between young people and the workforce they’re stepping into.

This year’s format focused on interactive experiences, practical advice, and post-school readiness. Feedback shows the event continues to deliver strong value for both exhibitors and attendees:

“The number of students was fantastic – our team was busy all day having quality conversations.” – Training Provider

“A well-organised event. We had great engagement and have already locked it in for next year.” – Employer Representative
