Our Story

At High Risk Solutions (HRS), everything we do is guided by a deep commitment to our community. It started with simple acts—opening our doors to young people, offering mentorship, traineeships, and real-world support. Over time, those efforts grew into something more meaningful. We saw firsthand how consistent guidance and care could shape futures, and so COGSY naturally became the next step

How COGSY Was Born

What began as an open day  and traineeship initiative at HRS eight years ago to support youth development soon evolved into something far more impactful. We noticed that many young people needed more than just technical training — they needed mentorship, structure, and the opportunity to feel seen and valued.

As our team supported more and more youth through work experience, mentoring, and positive role modelling, we began to witness real transformation. These young participants didn’t just gain job skills — they grew into responsible, confident adults. The success was undeniable.

As a family-oriented business, the directors of HRS felt a responsibility to do more. We recognised there was still a gap — and a greater opportunity — to provide structured, consistent support to young people across our region. We wanted a way to make this work sustainable, accessible, and open to all.

Community Champions

COGSY wouldn’t be what it is without the people and community groups who’ve walked alongside us.

From educators and mentors to local businesses and grassroots organisations, so many have generously contributed their time, knowledge, and support. Whether you've partnered with us for a single event or joined us for the long haul — we see you, and we thank you.

This space honours those who’ve helped make COGSY what it is today — a movement built by community, for community.
