COGSY is a pioneering program based in regional Queensland dedicated to enhancing opportunities and outcomes for disengaged youth. We provide a supportive environment where young people are equipped with essential skills for future employment and entrepreneurship. Our goal is to empower these individuals to realize their potential and contribute positively to their communities.

Founded in 2024, COGSY has been dedicated to supporting disengaged youth in regional Queensland. Over the years, we have developed a range of programs and initiatives designed to meet the evolving needs of our community.

This initiative grew from one idea. A single idea to connect youth with people who have extensive skills and knowledge in a wide variety of fields. This idea was driven to reality by David Nunn, who reached out to his networks and the wider community to share his idea and bring the right people together. The right people are those prepared to volunteer their time to share skills, knowledge and experience in face to face experiential sessions, for the betterment of the youth in our community.

The online portal and the building is a hub for people who want to work with Youth to teach skills.

David has named the hub after his great friend and mentor - Terry Purcell.

High Risk Solutions 

 High Risk Solutions is a proud founder of COGSY and has worked collaboratively with us since day one and has been instrumental in running COGSY with its own resources for the first two years before it became an independent entity. They have been instrumental in facilitating workshops, bringing in and training experts to discuss finances, and integrating disengaged youth into the workforce. 

This partnership has ensured that our youth receive comprehensive training and support, which is essential for their development and future employment opportunities.
